Understand the scope of your objectives

Absolutely vital but often underestimated. We get down to specifics and exactly what your website should and shouldn’t deliver. Often called the ‘requirements phase’ or ‘requirements gathering’ in more formal circles, it can be just as simple as a clearly defined mind-map.
For an online project, the first stage to consider the functionality and size of your site – potential customers, static pages, dynamic pages, content management, e-commerce, user demographics, SEO, social networking, and advanced functionality you may not even understand right now.
At the end of this stage you have a working roadmap for what to expect from Loose Ends and the final delivery.

Break the project down into clear, achievable, timetabled tasks

Every project can be like a vacation, if you break it down into smaller goals.
When we manage projects, we try and set fixed time periods (checkpoints) of 3 weeks or less to achieve specific tasks. Some design firms prefer to cram this in the final night before delivery.  At Loose Ends, you’ll know what is happening with your project through documentation and checkpoint delivery.  Each checkpoint brings us one step closer and allows the team and your company to see the changes, allowing changes as they are needed, quickly.  We’ll never surprise you with a finished product, as you will be approving it every step of the way.

Document and Communicate progress

Arguably the most important aspect of every design project and the one we really get obsessive about. If Loose Ends is running one of your projects, we make sure we track every key task and communicate this to your team on time.
Every week, we come together and review progress. This brings you and your team together to ensure your personality and company direction is represented.

Finalize and deliver

What is the most important time in a project?  Is it when we get to show you what we have done?  No!  It’s when the final product is pushed to the public!  It’s that AH-HA moment when your customers smile and compliment your new logo, business card or website.  That why we’re here. In finalization and delivery, we have you sign off on it and turn over the finished, polished, tuned and frosted design.  Of course, sometimes we stay around to help with other aspects of your marketing.

Understand the need for change

Change is inevitable… unless you don’t rely on customers or clients.  Fortunately, you do, and that is why you are seeking our services.  There will always be something new to create or a new campaign to market your business effectively.  We like our creations, but we are not married to them.  When it’s time to refresh or change something we have done, please tell us!  Your continued business is why we do what we do… customer loyalty and satisfaction.
